Why Be InTune?

Your Health & Wellbeing as a PRS Member

Knowing how to look after your health and wellbeing is as important as your creative and technical skill.

70-80% of people in the creative industries will have a health issue which impacts their career, and as a songwriter/composer there are specific challenges.  Achieving your potential depends on building and maintaining healthy routines and receiving expert help and support to quickly overcome any problems.

Together with BAPAM – the largest provider of Performing Arts Medicine in the UK – the PRS Members’ Fund has created this digital tool – InTune – and made it freely available to all PRS members who wish to find not just a healthier way to live, but a better way to thrive!

The PRS Members’ Fund provides individual tailored support to eligible members, direct hardship funding, and wellbeing support through our partner initiatives. The aim is to support you ‘beyond the music’ to help you get back to doing what you do best – creating music.

Our partner BAPAM provides free clinical assessments for people in the industry with health concerns that affect their practices and performance.

To help you as a songwriter/composer to optimise your wellbeing, InTune asks a series of questions relating to possible risks to your health and then provides tailored responses to your questions, with additional tips, tools, resources and information to help you take the next step to your best health.

Some examples of challenges that PRS songwriters and composers face include:

Answers to the questions are either “yes” or “no”, so you will not be providing any personal information in the tool. We save the answers so we can provide you with information to support your health. You have the option to provide your name and details if you would like a copy of the answers to the questions, and if you like, we can follow up with you at a later stage. There is no obligation to leave any personal information and this does not stop you from using the tool.

The anonymised data is also used to better understand the health risks in the PRS Community. It is also stored securely and the data is only used for the purpose stated.
